I'm Carol Schilansky and I have been a nature photographer for almost forty years. I learned about light and shadow and depth of field from those who had mastered their craft with black and white film. More recently I have offered my services to real estate developers to create marketing materials for potential home buyers. I shoot on a Nikon platform and made the switch from film to digital about ten years ago. Over the past decades I have been fortunate to travel to some of the most beautiful places in the USA and abroad where I have photographed my memories to share with you. I have been showcasing my images at art shows and craft fairs in New York State and New Jersey for more than fifteen years.

Perhaps you have seen my work at the annual Schenectady New York, Stockade Art Show on the Saturday after labor  Day or at the Bethel Woods Harvest Festivals which take place on Sundays in September on the grounds of the original Woodstock Music  Festival near White Lake, New York. New Jersey and Pennsylvania folks can find me in Chestnut Hill, PA in May for the Spring Art Show, in Hacketts town, NJ in June for the annual second Saturday Art Show, in Haddonfield, NJ in October for the Fall Art Festival and at Skytop Lodge, Skytop , PA for the two day indoor Holiday Art Show on Saturday and Sunday of Thanskgiving weekend.

My images are available as cards, matted prints sizes 5x7, 8x10, 11x14 and 20x24 and giclee canvas wrapped on wood ready to hang and enjoy. Canvases range in size from 8x10, 8x12, 10x10, 16x24, 20x24, 20x30 up to 24x36.

I love to talk to people about my photography and tell the story behind some of my favorite pictures.
To all who have purchased my cards, matted prints and my canvas wrapped art, I hope that when you look at the pictures they make you smile. I look forward to chatting with old and new acquaintances at this year's art shows.

If you have any questions about the images on this site, please feel free to contact me. Since I took every image, I can probably answer your question.
